H2O has been granted planning for an 87 bedroom Travelodge with ground floor restaurant/retail space. Funding has been agreed and site construction will commence in June 2011.

The site forms part of a larger mixed use development known as The Basin in Loughborough. Phase 1 of The Basin has been completed and includes two new blocks of student accommodation with ground floor retail/leisure space together with a new canal basin with associated landscaped public realm.
The construction of this hotel started on site early July 2011, with completion due Easter 2012.
