Health and Safety

H2O is committed to the promotion of the health and safety of its employees and those who may be affected by its operations and to the provision of a safe and healthy working environment.

Our policy and procedures will address our obligations under the Health & Safety at Work Act and other statutory provisions. As part of these obligations we will, so far as is reasonably practicable,ensure the health, safety and welfare of our employees and the health and safety of other persons who may be affected by our work activities including contracted parties and visitors.

To achieve this we will:

  • Implement and operate processes and systems of work to take account of health and safety;
  • Appoint competent health and safety assistance;
  • Consult with employees;
  • Encourage good communication and co-operation;
  • Provide appropriate information, instruction and training;
  • Regularly review health & safety performance

In taking these steps we will seek to continuously improve our health and safety performance.

In addition it is usual for H2O to review the Health and Safety policies of its joint venture partners to ensure that both companies are happy with the level of Health and Safety commitment.

When in the process of construction we diligently seek contractors with excellent health and safety records and practises.
